Until 1923 Hulton was the owner of The Daily Dispatch which eventually became The Daily Dispatch & News Chronicle. It produced copious sets of black and white football cards in the late 1950’s but few know that it all started back in 1922/23 when the very first cards were issued by Hulton with The Daily Dispatch.
