A stunning set of cards, issued two per week, in the style of the earlier Baines and Sharpe cards. But I can’t for the life of me work out how they managed to omit Huddersfield Town, a team which by this time had won the Football League Championship three times in a row (the first team to do it, I might add!) and appeared in two FAC Finals, winning in 1922. What more do you have to do in order to be “famous“? The fact that the cards were printed in Leeds probably accounts for the inclusion of their local team, a club that had done absolutely nothing since its formation only seven years earlier in 1919!

I am still short of several images of the “backs” here – can YOU help, please?
